Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Fighters Pass 3 not planned according to Sakurai – News

| |

The Super Smash Bros. roster. Ultimate will continue to enrich itself until 2021 with the arrival of six additional fighters. After that, the work on the game will be “finished”, as its director Masahiro Sakurai explains in an interview with Famitsu magazine.

The first elements of this new interview are relayed by Ryokutya2089 and RPG Site. Masahiro Sakurai announces that the six additional fighters of Fighters Pass 2, for the moment undisclosed (but already decided internally), are scheduled to be the last. The final Super Smash Bros. roster. Ultimate should be made up of 81 characters (not counting the echo fighters). Sakurai takes the opportunity to remind that he does not directly choose the characters in DLC, but that he is able to accept or not the proposals made by Nintendo. Finally, he does not rule out the possibility of a new Super Smash Bros. game, but explains that neither he nor Nintendo are thinking about the future of the series at the moment.
