It was a passerby who discovered the body on Saturday around 7:30 p.m., under trees, near a tent, at the corner of chaussée de Bruxelles and Chemin d’Accès. The emergency services went to the scene, but they could only confirm the death.
“A perimeter has been established and the scientific laboratory of the federal police came on site to identify the traces”, explained Martin François on Tuesday. Since then, a suspect has been identified and arrested.
La Capitale clarified on Wednesday that the body was naked at the time of its discovery and that both the victim and the arrested suspect were homeless. This latest information has not been confirmed by the Brussels public prosecutor’s office.
