Prime Minister Alexander De Croo on Thursday presented honorary distinctions to 10 people, including five Belgians, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. These people have distinguished themselves in the economic, scientific or cultural fields. During a ceremony organized at the Consulate General of Belgium in New York, distinctions were given in particular to the scientist Annette Bakker (officer of the Order of Leopold), to the businessman and former CEO of AB InBev Carlos Brito (Grand Officer of the Order of the Crown), banker George Ugeux (Commander of the Order of the Crown), psychotherapist Esther Perel (Knight of the Order of the Crown) and artist Marie-Paule Martin (Knight of the Order of Leopold).
