Tesla boss is still testing
Elon Musk has a positive Corona result
After four differently failed Covid rapid tests, the confusion for Elon Musk is great. Now a saliva sample that is considered safe brings certainty: The Tesla boss has Corona. But Musk doesn’t want to rely on this information – and just keeps testing.
Tesla boss Elon Musk says he has tested positive for Covid-19. The eccentric US entrepreneur said on Twitter that a test based on a saliva sample had come back with a positive result. Musk has downplayed the risk of the coronavirus several times since the pandemic began.
After his Blitz visit to Germany, it was initially unclear whether Musk was actually infected with the corona virus. Of four rapid tests, two were positive and two were negative. The same nurse and the same test were used, Musk said. Shortly thereafter, he had tweeted: “Something extremely fraudulent is going on here.”
His comments on the initial results caught a chorus of Twitter followers who shared Musk’s skepticism about the tests and alleged widespread misdiagnosis. On Saturday, Musk tweeted that he was getting another test, the results of which are expected on Sunday. “Almost no symptoms today, so hopefully better results,” he tweeted.
