WITHThe weather in Germany remains mostly autumnal, but it should be milder in the coming days. The German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Sunday in Offenbach. After some fog fields have dissolved, Monday starts in northern and central Germany with rain in places, towards the south and south-west it is bright and partly cloudy. It will be sunny in the mountains and in the foothills of the Alps. The cold front dissolves and the maximum values climb to 10 to 16 degrees, according to the DWD.
On Tuesday night, the clouds in the north loosen up, the sky becomes partly clear, partly it remains slightly cloudy. Especially in the south, fog can cloud your view. Also from the west there are strong clouds in places. The lowest values in the north and northwest are between 10 and 15 degrees, otherwise only 5 to 0 degrees with light frost in the mountains and the southeast. There is a risk of ground frost in the east and south of the country.
Squalls in the low mountain ranges possible
On Tuesday it will be mostly friendly after the dissolution of local fog fields. It is raining in the northwest and southeast. The maximum daily temperatures are around 12 degrees in the north, 17 degrees in the middle of Germany and 20 degrees on the edge of the Alps. According to the DWD, there can be gusts of wind on some peaks in the low mountain ranges, and gusts of wind on the North Sea.
On Wednesday night it rains partly heavily from the west. North of Nahe and Main there are usually a lot of clouds in the sky. The temperatures drop to 12 to 7 degrees, in the mountains to 4 to 0 degrees. As on the day before, there can be gusts of wind on the peaks of the low mountain ranges. During the day, the mild temperatures with maximum values between 15 and 20 degrees spread across large parts of Germany. “In the south, with the help of a hair dryer, even up to 24 degrees are forecast in partly sunny weather,” said Sebastian Schappert from the DWD’s weather forecast center. In the coastal regions it stays a little cooler at 14 degrees. According to the DWD, there can be severe gusts of wind on the peaks of the Alps, and hurricane gusts on the Brocken.
“According to the current status, this milder weather segment should remain with us until Friday. At the weekend, somewhat cooler air flows in again and the daily highs drop to 12 to 17 degrees, ”says Schappert.
