Farense won on their visit to Nacional (3-2), in a game of the 19th round of the League. It was Jorge Costa’s first triumph as coach of the Algarve.
André Pinto (51 ‘) and Ryan Gauld (62’) put Farense at an advantage, but João Vigário (68 ‘) and Pedro Mendes (83’) still managed to rehearse a recovery for Nacional. However, the young forward loaned by Sporting ended up being the best and worst of islanders, scoring an own goal (86 ‘) that sealed the Algarve’s triumph.
With this result, Farense left the last place and went up to 15th with 16 points, one more than Famalicão, the first team in the relegation zone. Nacional occupies the ninth place with 21 points.
