The Canadian ambassador to Iraq, Gregory Galligan, announced today, Monday, that he will join the fans of the Iraqi national team in the upcoming match against Qatar, in the semi-finals of the Arabian Gulf Cup.
Galligan said, in a tweet, followed by Alsumaria News, “As the fog cleared from Baghdad, I joined Iraqi football fans in a race to Basra Governorate.”
And he completed the “Gulf Cup.. Khaleeji 25 Basrawi.”
Today, Iraq will play its Qatari counterpart at 4:15 pm at the Trunk of the Palm Stadium, in the semi-finals of the 25th Arabian Gulf Cup in Basra.
