- It will allow Madrilenians who have this application on their mobile to see the information regarding their vaccination status and the system will inform whether the patient is vaccinated or not
The information displayed, the regional government has informed, will be in real time, that is, every time the citizen / patient requests to see it, it will be updated with the latest data.
Similarly, if yes, the application will show the date the vaccination occurred; the type of vaccine that was administered; and, in case several doses are needed, which of them is the last one administered.
If the vaccination process has been completed, the system will generate a QR code that will allow third parties to verify, when necessary and through a validation website of the Ministry of Health, that the information displayed is correct.
The Covid-19 Vaccination Card is added to the functions of the Virtual Health Card such as that of ‘My Covid diagnostic tests’, announced by the president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, last December, and with which patients can access to all your coronavirus-related diagnostic tests.
Virtual health card
The virtual health card has been available for almost eight months for Android and iOS mobile devices.
It is activated through a QR code that is obtained in the health centers of the Community of Madrid, or through a call to the free telephone number 900 102 112 which, after validating the identity of the patient, will provide an activation code via SMS, to the mobile phone that the citizen has registered as a contact.
This card, available to people over 16 years of age, incorporates new options for citizens in addition to having the same uses as the traditional card, and incorporates services that were already being provided.
Since the launch of the Virtual Health Card at the end of June last year, there have been more than 200,000 downloads.
Masks for those over 65
On the other hand, as announced last Thursday by President Díaz Ayuso in the Regional Assembly, in the coming days the Community of Madrid will begin to distribute FFP2 masks to people over 65 years of age.
In this sense, all those who have downloaded the Virtual Health Card will be able to check if they are already available in the ‘My Medication’ section, to later be able to collect them at the pharmacy offices.
