Barcelona, Feb 20 (EFE) .- A total of 23 containers and 950 square meters of pavement were burned in the riots last night in Barcelona in protest at the imprisonment of rapper Pablo Hasel, damages that added to the costs of services cleaning costs € 128,000.
Municipal sources have informed EFE that most of these damages occurred in Pla de Palau, Ramblas and Pelai street in the city. The cost of the containers has been estimated at 34,000 euros, the replacement of the pavement, at 60,000, and the work of the cleaning teams, at 33,500.
The altercations, on the other hand, did not cause significant damage to the lighting system, green spaces and traffic lights, according to the same sources.

The mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau, in statements to the media, has made this Saturday a call for calm and the unity of the political parties in the face of the riots, has called on the PSOE to speed up the processing of the pardon requested by United We Can, and has affirmed that demonstrating is a right but that “altercations are not the solution and are not justified.”
