One hundred teachers from the Collective of Teachers and Private Dance Centers of Catalonia (CPCPD) gathered yesterday in Barcelona against the restrictions that have been applied to these centers. The president of the entity, Lorena Carabante, considers that the measures are “totally unfair” for their schools, in a “very large comparative grievance” towards private education. “We have come out unscathed from a management that has been done badly by the Generalitat,” said the spokeswoman, who demanded “face-to-face” for his teachings.
Carabante warned that the centers are in a “totally desperate and burial” situation and that the dance world of Catalonia “is dying”.
The spokeswoman for the sector believes that in the face of this confinement many schools will have to close. Since September, they have gathered around twenty-five centers from a group of about four hundred schools.
