Today, Sunday, the great Egyptian media figure and journalist, Mufid Fawzi, died at the age of 89, after a struggle with illness.
Mustafa Bakri, a member of the Egyptian Parliament, announced the death, writing on Twitter: “The death of the great journalist and writer Moufid Fawzy after a journey of suffering with illness, as he spent nearly a month in a private hospital. May God have mercy on the dear deceased and inspire his family patience and solace.”
Catheter and stent placement
The health of the late Egyptian journalist had recently deteriorated and he was transferred to the hospital, where he underwent surgery that included the installation of a catheter and a stent in the bile ducts, but his condition deteriorated further, and he suffered from severe pain.
Fawzi went through a major psychological crisis in the recent period after the death of two of his closest friends, the artist Samir Sabry and the journalist writer Salah Montaser.
The body of the great journalist, Mufid Fawzy, was moved from his room in which he spent about a month. The atmosphere is lonely inside Al-Safa Hospital in Mohandessin. He is gone, whom his late wife, the daughter of Luxor and the able journalist, Amal Al-Amda called the brave interlocutor. It is strange that his late wife died in the same hospital.
