“The Seventh Day” TV broadcast live from the site of Hariq Saluja Reserve Ghazal in the city of Aswan, in order to follow up on the effects of the massive fire and the latest developments in the accident after the decisions of Major General Ashraf Attia, Aswan Governor.
Major General Ashraf Attia, the governor of Aswan, gave a 24 hour deadline to the competent committee, consisting of leaders of the Ministry of Environment, Civil Protection and Criminal Research, to present a detailed report on the causes of the fire and the extent of the losses to be submitted to the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Environment and the Public Prosecution.
He stressed the importance of developing means of communication for immediate reporting, while raising the efficiency of the fire system in the islands of Saluja and Ghazal, and reviewing it with the Civil Protection Department for speedy intervention and handling in any future emergency situations.
The Saluja and Ghazal Reserve is among the important tourist attractions, a destination for bird watching tourism, and an essential stop for bird trips in summer and winter.
