Will Smith addressed his speech to Chris Rock, saying, “I apologize to you, my behavior was unacceptable, and I am here any time you are ready to speak,” and he also directed his apologies to Chris’ mother and his family.
Smith said his wife, actress Jayda Pinkett Smith, who was sitting next to him, frowned upon when Rock joked about her, said nothing to incite him to attack.
