Revenge successful: FCSG beat GC 2-0 after a spirited performance – read the live ticker
With 2:5 and 0:4, FC St.Gallen has lost the previous two games against newly promoted GC. Meanwhile, however, the Espen are on the run – and could overtake the Hoppers with a win. We report live from the Kybunpark – supporting program included.
The FCSG is a pleasure, a lot of pleasure: it remains unbeaten even after its fifth game in the second half of the season and confidently beats the record champions 2-0. After the early lead by von Moos, the Espen remained sovereign and continued to play happily forward. The lead was never on the brink, the team performance of the home side was too courageous and clarified. Duah’s second goal was no coincidence and was the deserved reward for a strong performance by Grünweiss.
The spectators in the sold out Kybunpark definitely got their money’s worth. It was clear for 90 minutes that they liked FC St.Gallen’s performance. Frenetic applause, many standing ovations, passionate cheers – goose bumps through and through.
