The first pink ball test match of the Indian women’s cricket team starts today. India’s opponents are Australia. The first day and night test is from 11am. Injured Harmanpreet Kaur will not play.
India will face Australia in the Pink Ball without any experience. Captain Mithali Raj told a news conference that the Indian players were using the pink ball for the first time during a training session in Australia. Despite losing the ODI series 2–1, the performances of Julan Goswami, Pooja Vastrakar and Meghna will give India hope in the Test series. Harman Preeth will be replaced by Poonam Routh or Yastika Bhatia. It will be the first Test for the Australian women since the 2019 Ashes. Beth Mooney will replace the injured Rachel Haynes as the Australia opener. The weather forecast is for rain for the first two days
