the first wave of new circuits is available!

It is not tomorrow the day before that we will see a new Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch. A month ago, the Japanese firm announced that the current title available on its portable console, namely Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (reissue of the Wii U version), would obtain several DLCs until 2023. Enough to allow Nintendo to further extend the life of its best-selling Switch game by implementing 48 circuits taken from old games of the license and remastered.

The first wave (out of six) of this new content is available on March 18. On the program, two new cups (golden turbo and maneki-neko) which will add eight new circuits: the Coconut Supermarket (Wii), the Choco Mountain (N64), the Toad Circuit (3DS), the Flying Garden (GBA), the Corniche Champignon (DS), the Traversée de Tokyo, the Promenade à Paris and the Ninja Dojo (Mario Kart Tour).

Players subscribing to the “Nintendo Switch Online + Additional Pack” will be able to access the six waves of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Additional Tracks Pass for free.

For others (or for subscribers who still wish to acquire it permanently), the Track Pass* can be purchased as downloadable content from Nintendo eShop.

*Lap waves cannot be purchased individually. A copy of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game on Nintendo Switch is required to use the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Additional Tracks Pass content. A free software update is required. A broadband Internet connection is required to download software updates.
