The founder of Terraform Labs said that he is not hiding from the authorities

Do Kwon, co-founder of cryptocurrency company Terraform Labs, declared On the eve of the international wanted list, he said that he was not hiding from the authorities.

“As I said earlier, I am not making any attempt to hide— wrote Mr. Kwon on Twitter. “I’m walking and shopping, and no one from the authorities has contacted me in the last couple of weeks.”

Recall that in mid-May depreciated one of the largest cryptocurrencies in the world by capitalization is Luna, which is part of the Terra ecosystem from Terraform Labs. South Korean authorities conducted an investigation, as a result of which, on September 14, a South Korean court issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Kwon and five other employees of the company. A few days later, the court asked Interpol to put all the defendants in the case on the international wanted list, as they left the country, despite the injunction from June this year.

Mr. Kwon’s whereabouts are still unknown. Despite his words that he is not trying to hide from the authorities, he did not disclose his whereabouts in response to requests from Twitter users. The remaining defendants in the case are allegedly located in Singapore, where the headquarters of Terraform Labs is located. All of them are suspected of fraud and withdrawal of users’ cryptocurrencies to their own wallets for a total amount of about $60 billion.
