Sleep after eating
Dr. Khaled Al-Nimr, a consultant and professor of cardiology and arterial catheterization, said, “Sleeping after a heavy meal leads to 4 symptoms, the most prominent of which are: chest pain and shortness of breath.”
And the cardiology consultant explained, in a tweet he posted on his official account on the Twitter site, that “sleep immediately after eating fatty foods increases esophageal reflux, chest pain, palpitations, and shortness of breath.”
And the cardiology consultant pointed out that “the hearty dinner (if you must be active) should be (3-4) hours before bedtime.”
Al-Nimr had mentioned earlier that eating fruits is good for heart health, and the best time to eat them is on an empty stomach, either one hour before or two hours after eating, and not immediately after a fatty meal.
