The head of the UFC forgot the name of the Russian champion of the organization

UFC head Dana White during a press conference forgot the name of the organization’s lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.
The press conference was held a week before Makhachev’s fight with the best UFC fighter, regardless of the category, Australian Alex Voklanovsky, who is the featherweight champion.
“You know, if Volkanovski wins, it will be huge. If uh… if uh… yes, if he [Махачев] can win, it will take a step towards creating an incredible legacy.”
The fight will take place on February 12 in Perth, Australia. Tickets were sold out a few weeks before the fight. Volkanovski has 25 wins and one loss, while Makhachev has 23 wins and one loss.
This fight will be the first in a long time for Makhachev without Khabib Nurmagomedov in the corner. The former UFC lightweight champion announced on January 7 that he had decided to retire from the MMA industry. After ending his sports career in 2020, he bought a promotion (Eagle FC), runs a business, trains fighters who compete in the UFC, Bellator and other leagues.
