The iPad Pro Mini LED in March?

On January 7, the Japanese blog MacOtakara announced in an article that the new generation of theApple iPad Pro could be released in March 2021. According to the site, the design of the new models would be identical to that of the current models, but it will be at the level of the screen that there will be change.

The main difference between the new generation and the old one will indeed be the use of a mini-LED screen for the 12.9-inch version of the tablet from 2021. It is a technology based on the use of a LCD screen.

Although MacOtakara pointed out the similarity between the design of the iPad Pro 2021 and that of the 2020 versions, other sources have mentioned a few characteristics that differentiate the two generations, especially at the level of the speakers.

Some design changes

According to some sources, Apple has made some changes to the iPad Pro to get the 2021 version. Speaker specifications are among these changes. Apparently, the number of holes for the speakers would have been reduced by two-thirds on the new models. Their location would also have been changed.

As for the camera, the information seems contradictory, because while MacOtakara has said that the lenses will no longer be salient, other sources have indicated that the rear camera will keep its current design, that is, with a bump.

Another important point concerning the design, with its new mini-LED screen, the iPad Pro 2021 of 12.9 inches will be significantly thicker than the 2020 models.

The mini-LED display for devices with a larger screen

The new models, although equipped with an LCD screen, will offer the same advantages as devices with OLED, thanks to mini-LED technology. They will also benefit from more brightness, but with better energy efficiency. The risk of burns will also be minimal.

According to reports, tech giant Apple plans to use the new form of mini-LED backlighting in its future models with a larger display.

In addition to the 2021 iPad Pro scheduled for launch in March, it looks like Apple is planning to release another product this year as well. According to MacOtakara, this would be a new generation of entry-level iPad.

This device would be based on the iPad Air 3 with smaller bezels and a smaller thickness. However, it will keep the Home button with Touch ID.
