Apple should trust South Korea’s LG Innotek and Japan’s Sharp to supply the iPhone 14’s front camera, sources say. Korea IT News. Until now, LG Innotek only provided the higher-end cameras used on the back of the iPhone. Disappointed by the quality of the webcams offered by its usual Chinese suppliers, Apple has decided to change creamery a year ahead of the initial schedule. In a desire to go upmarket, Apple would have chosen a webcam three times more expensive than on the iPhone 13.
The front sensors of the iPhone 13
According to the rumors we have, the entire range that will be presented in September should adopt the new front camera: the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max with the traditional notch, and the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max with the new system of double punch. Last month, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo asserted that the new models should switch to an AF (autofocus) sensor with an aperture of ƒ/1.9, instead of an FF (fixed focus) sensor with an aperture of ƒ/2.2: there is would therefore have much better focus and higher quality images in low light.
