The man, aggressive and insulting, armed with a knife, presented himself at the Saint-Anne / Saint-Rémi hospital in Anderlecht on Friday morning, shouting “Allahu Akbar”. The individual reportedly said he was going to die but would come back to “kill everyone”. All hospitals in the Brussels region would then have been warned of a potential attack by this individual.
This Saturday, we learn that the man was forcibly hospitalized, according to HLN, and confirmed by the prosecution. This person is therefore the subject of the Nixon procedure. This means that the man will be forcibly confined in a closed care facility. The prosecutor’s office announced that it would not provide any further information on the case.
As a reminder, the Nixon procedure is the procedure that was lacking during the attack against the police last Thursday. Attack that cost the life of Thomas, a 29-year-old policeman.
