The state had promised it to pharmacists: between March 17 and 20, the 21,000 pharmacies in mainland France would each receive 500 surgical masks and fifty FFP2 masks. An operation urgently entrusted to the transporter Geodis, a subsidiary of the SNCF.

Upon arrival, a lot of bugs, to say the least. The Saint Exupéry pharmacies in La Teste (Gironde) and Taieb in Fontenay-sous-Bois (Val de Marne) have not received FFP2 masks. The La Fontaine pharmacies in Arnouville (Val d’Oise) and Lorraine at the Hospital (Moselle) were only entitled to a grant of fifty surgical masks …

Alerted, the professional union Uspo (Union of pharmacist unions) conducted an online survey to which 2,600 pharmacists responded. “As a result, 50% have not received any FFP2 masks at all and 10% have not been delivered or have had far less surgical masks than expected”, says its president, Gilles Bonnefond.
