The evacuation of residents of the border areas of the Kursk region to temporary accommodation centers (TAP) continues. The matter has been reported to Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry.
“Workers of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry are helping to evacuate people from the Glushkovsky, Ligovsky and Rilsky regions to temporary accommodation centers in safe areas,” the ministry posted on its Telegram channel the news said. They clarified that residents of the Glushkovsky region were today relocated to one of the temporary accommodation centers deployed by the Moscow government in the Kursk region.
Kursk Region authorities Mandatory evacuation declared Glushkovsky district. The decision was taken by the regional operations headquarters due to security threats. A voluntary evacuation had previously been announced there. As of January 1, 2022, the population of Glushkovsky District was 17,500 people.
