The Ministry of Health reveals the fact that there are cases of black fungus disease in Qalyubia and ways to deal with it

Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qalyubia, announced that all Qalyubia hospitals have not recorded any cases of black fungus.

He added that all hospital administrators are fully prepared to deal with any infections of the black fungus disease.

And the Undersecretary indicated, in press statements, that if any infection with the black fungus appears, it is isolated inside Corona isolation hospitals, in rooms designated for this, away from the rest of the patients.

He stressed that the medical team in all the governorate’s hospitals is working with all its energies to serve all patients alike, until full recovery.

In a related context, the psychological support teams at the Benha Mental Health Hospital went to the isolation hospitals in Qaha, health insurance and diets under the supervision of Dr. Ashraf Shehata, the director of the hospital.

The psychological support team consists of a psychiatrist, a psychologist or social worker, and a nurse; This is to improve the psychological state of patients and training on how to deal with medical staff in such a pandemic.

Meanwhile, the hospital’s infection control team retrained the nursing staff in the internal departments on hand washing, hygiene and disinfection of work surfaces and personal protective equipment.
