The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Russia has named the average pension that will be paid in the country after the indexation proposed by President Vladimir Putin.
“The average pension of a non-working pensioner after indexation will be almost 19 thousand rubles,” the ministry said.
The department also noted that pensions will be indexed for 30.8 million non-working Russians. In total, from 2022 to 2024, the increased indexation of pensions will require an additional half a trillion rubles.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with the government, proposed indexing pensions by 8.6% – more than inflation, which for 2021 is 8.4%.
