The Musical Nights are back in their neighborhood!

The winter season of the 51e editing of the Musical nights in Uzès will start smoothly with the pianist Cyrille Lehn which initially will transport the public into the magic of Disney (full concert). In a second time, the musician will always perform this same December 17, this time in the universe ofEnnio Morricone and of broken boy. Masterful in improvisation, Cyrille Lehn will revisit the great classics of cinema, such as La Dolce vita, The Godfather, Once upon a time in the west or Cinema Paradiso.

The pianist and composer was trained at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris where he holds five first prizes. The new year will begin with a tribute to the great ladies of jazz and soul music on January 28, 2023. This concert offers a crossing of the repertoire brilliantly interpreted by the Gospel experience under the direction of Pascal Horeckaconductor with multiple hats.

On the program: piano recital by candlelight on February 14

The latter specialized in black American music, particularly gospel. In addition to his work as a university professor, Pascal Horecka, originally from Angers, devotes most of his time to conducting in Europe, arranging albums and directing musical projects. The musicians will perform works by Schubert (La fille et la mort and Le roi des Aulnes) and Beethoven (Quartet opus 18 n°1). The music festival will end with opera tunes on April 25, 2023 with countertenor Philippe Jarousky and conductor Jean-Christophe Spinosi, both festival regulars. They will offer a repertoire of works by Vivaldi and Handel during an evening rich in emotions.
