The Ministries of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP)
and Universities agreed, together with the autonomous communities, that the Baccalaureate Assessment Test for Access to University (EBAU)
is held between June 22 and July 10 in an ordinary call and before September 10 in an extraordinary call. The Junta de Castilla y León anticipates that the exams will take place in July, instead of the date originally planned, before the health crisis caused by Covid-19, between June 9 and 11.
This was decided at the Sectorial Conference on Education held by videoconference, chaired by the Minister of Education and FP, Isabel Celaá, together with the education counselors of the communities. “The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training is working hard in this crisis with a single objective: that no student, that no student lose the course due to this situation caused by the Covid-19,” said Celaá.
Both the Ministry of Education and FP as well as that of Universities and the communities are aware of the difficulty that the suspension of the classroom classes is for the teachers who teach in the second year of Bachillerato and, especially, for the students of this course. because of the coronavirus infection epidemic.
Therefore, to ensure that access to the University occurs in terms of “fairness” and “fairness,” it was also agreed to modify the model and content of the tests so that students are not harmed by not having worked in class some block or blocks of content of any of the subjects. .
