The Ocine Girona cinemas will partially close in the coming weeks, as do other Girona cinemas such as the Ocine Platja d’Aro or the Cat Cinemes in Figueres. The multisales announced yesterday that to adapt to the new restrictions and due to the current influx of spectators, it has decided to close on Mondays and Tuesdays.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays it will continue to offer two sessions between 4.30pm and 7.30pm as announced last week and on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, three sessions between 3.30pm and 8pm.

Jaume Cabré’s new novel (Barcelona, 1947) will be entitled Consumits pel foc and will arrive in bookstores on April 7, edited by Proa. The volume, which will be published ten years after I Confess, focuses on Ishmael, a language and literature teacher who is involved in a borderline situation after an encounter with an old acquaintance.

Cabré is one of the benchmarks of contemporary Catalan literature and his works exceed 100 translations. Destino will publish the Spanish translation on the same day.
