The path to a new continental dream opens with the draw for the Copa Libertadores

The draw will take place at the Conmebol headquarters, which will have an important presence of representatives of the five Argentine clubs.

Boca and River will be in drum number 1 and will be seeded in two of the eight groups of four participants.
The most important teams in Argentina will try to break the hegemony of Brazil that has been shared between Flamengo and Palmeiras in the last four editions. Precisely, the carioca team will lead group A for being the last champion.

For leading the Conmebol ranking, River will be in group B and then Palmeiras will be divided in C, Boca in D, Nacional, from Uruguay, in E, Athletico Paranaense in F, Independiente del Valle (champion of the South American Cup and the Recopa) in G and Olimpia, from Paraguay. , in the H.

There will not be two teams from the same country in the same group unless one has qualified in a previous phase as the case of Atlético Mineiro, Cerro Porteño, Sporting Cristal and Independiente Medellín.

The first two of each group will qualify for the round of 16 and the third will go on to play the Copa Sudamericana.
These teams will play a tie against the guards of the eight groups of the other contest and if they win they will face the round of 16 with the leaders.
