It was around 1:10 p.m. when a Citroën Xsara hit an ambulance at a crossroads near Berles-Monchel, between Arras and Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise. As La Voix du Nord reports, the ambulance rolled over in shock. The patient she was transporting to the hospital, a 90-year-old man, was ejected. The emergency services could only confirm his death. The passenger, a 59-year-old man, was taken care of in absolute urgency and taken to the emergency room. The driver is more slightly injured.
The driver of the Xsara, 42, was also seriously injured. The other occupant, her 12-year-old daughter, would be more lightly. Traffic is closed on these sections of roads.
