President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was keen to take a souvenir photo with those in charge of the Field Marshal Abu Zekry axis project in Alexandria, at the end of his tour of the project.

Field Marshal Abu Zekri’s axis is an addition and a huge qualitative shift that would open new development horizons for the entire western region of Alexandria governorate and increase its urban space, linking the port of Dekheila with the desert road, the international coastal road and the city of Burj Al Arab, and becoming a vital developmental artery to link Alexandria to the new city of El Alamein via the coastal road. .

The new reconstruction axis also comes as an additional new step in implementing the state’s strategy in establishing a network of roads and axes throughout the republic. Those axes are no longer limited to facilitating traffic and the movement of citizens. Rather, traffic axes have become new lifelines that support the efforts of organized urban sprawl and gatherings.
