The championship of Russia will not be suspended in the near future, RBC reports, citing a source in one of the clubs of the league, as well as interlocutors in the leadership of the RPL and the RFU.
The interviewees said that the current situation is unprecedented, but added that there is no talk of suspending or canceling the championship in the near future.
“It is extremely difficult to predict the situation. Football can be a powerful rallying force,” said one source in RFS.
