Russian news agencies have announced the resignation of the government.
Dimitri Medvedev, the Russian prime minister, presented his government’s resignation to President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, a surprise announcement after a speech by the head of state announcing constitutional reforms.

“We, as the government of the Russian Federation must give the president of our country the means to take all the necessary measures. That is why […] that the government as a whole is resigning, “said Medvedev, according to Russian agencies.
