The Russian Senate ratifies the Treaty of Annexation of Occupied Territories of Ukraine… Putin’s final signature remains

The Russian Senate has ratified a treaty on the annexation of occupied territories in Ukraine on the 4th (local time), Archyde.com and TASS news agency reported.

At that meeting, the Senate unanimously ratified the treaty on the annexation of the four territories occupied by Donetsk, Lugansk (Ukrainian name Luhansk), Kherson and Zaporiza.

The treaty was also passed unanimously in the House of Representatives the day before.

As a result, the process of annexation of Russia and these occupied territories remains only for the final signature of President Vladimir Putin.

Relevant documents for this have already been delivered to the Kremlin.

President Putin signed a treaty of annexation with the occupied territories at the Kremlin on the 30th of the same month after the territorial annexation of these occupied territories was decided through a referendum on the 23rd and 27th of last month.

Since then, legal procedures such as the Constitutional Court ruling on the constitutionality of the treaty have been carried out one after another.

However, Ukraine has not acknowledged the annexation and is continuing its territorial offensive offensive.

Immediately after the annexation treaty was signed, Lehman, a key point heading to the eastern Luhansk Oblast, was recovered, and the southern Kherson Oblast broke through the front line about 30 km along the Dnipro River.

The West has also condemned the annexation as a violation of international law and is pushing for arms aid to Ukraine and additional sanctions against Russia.

But Russia threatens to use nuclear weapons to defend the annexed territories as its territory.

Recently, there have been reports of signs of nuclear tests or the use of nuclear weapons in the Arctic Ocean and near the border with Ukraine.

The US and the West are warning that the use of nuclear weapons will have serious consequences along with a decisive response.
