Samsung announced it will launch a flagship phone Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 fold cellphone on August 5, 2020. As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the launch of the two phones will be done virtually.
Samsung will launch the cellphone at 21:00 WIB in the Galaxy Unpacked event.
Based on rumors, the Galaxy Note 20 will carry three rear cameras, including periscope lenses. The fourth camera functions as a 3D ToF sensor.
It is rumored that the Galaxy Note 20 will be topped up with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus chipsets such as the Samsung S20 range. Galaxy Note 20 will also support 5G networks.
The Galaxy Note 20 will have a refresh rate of 120 Hz and are equipped with the default features of the Galaxy Note lineup, the S-Pen.
Reporting from The Verge, Samsung will also have at least a variant, namely Galaxy Note 20 with a smaller screen, and Note 20 Ultra with a larger screen.
Reporting from Tech RadarThis launch is Samsung’s first event in the middle of Covid-19. Previously, the launch of the Galaxy S20 and Z Flip, which took place on February 11 in San Francisco, was one of the last cell phone launch events in the world.
Meanwhile, the latest Galaxy Fold, reportedly named Galaxy Z Fold 2, is rumored to be featuring a larger 7.7-inch internal screen.
Specifications are also rumored to be upgraded from the previous Galaxy Fold, but there are no leakage specifications to confirm this.
In the event, Samsung will also announce the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. The device will reportedly be equipped with a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor and a slight decrease in battery capacity compared to the 4G version.
