Let yourself go in reverie on the gold of the vast fine sandy beaches, which lends itself perfectly to the construction of the most beautiful castles. Glass in hand, sink into a comfortable beach chair. Or, take a dip in the white jagged waves of the North Sea. Stroll along the dyke that connects all the districts of the town, and pass successively in front of terraces, art galleries and rolling grass dunes.
Let yourself be seduced by the orange tiles of the villas on the coast or by the wide shopping avenues and the small villages of the polders. Buildings with cutting-edge modern architecture spice things up. The blue of the sky, where large cottony white clouds evolve, encourages you to reach the vast green expanses of the nature reserves. Pass where the sea and the land engage in a merciless struggle day after day, cross shady forests or cycle through the untouched landscapes of the polders that stretch as far as Bruges and Breskens. By bicycle or golf cart, everything is just a few minutes away, because Knokke-Heist is a seaside resort on a human scale.
Discover each of the five sections of the municipality, which all offer gastronomy, shopping and art at the highest level: the dynamic Knokke, the elegant Zoute, the family Heist, the trendy Duinbergen and then the nature of the polders. Each section has its own character and offers a unique experience. Hospitality is materialized here in hundreds of businesses, shops, restaurants, brasseries, art galleries, events, exhibitions, hotels and bed and breakfasts. Each district seduces with its authentic charm or its universal style. Whatever the season, Knokke-Heist remains an attractive and lively seaside resort.

RANKIN – The Dazed Decades
The “Rankin: The Dazed Decades” exhibition seeks to explore Rankin’s inimitable style and unique perspective on photography. His archive of transgressive photographs shines a light on the social issues targeted by his magazine, but also on the famous personalities and faces that have dominated popular culture over the past thirty years.
GREAT ART FOR GREAT KIDS
Great Art for Great Kids allows children to discover, in a surprisingly original way, the greatest works of art in history. Pandas, little pigs, polar bears, hippopotamuses… It’s a real zoo that plays the star role of the Great Art for Great Kids exhibition in Knokke-Heist. The animals take the place of the characters of famous painters. Children thus discover, in a surprisingly original way, the greatest works of art produced over the centuries.
WORLD PRESS PHOTO
Showcasing the results of the 2023 World Press Photo competition, the annual exhibition showcases the best and most important photojournalism and documentary photography of the past year. The winners were chosen by an independent jury who reviewed more than 60,448 photographs submitted by 3,752 photographers.
