The festive season on Pokémon GO
Here’s what the first official season on Pokémon has in store for you:
- The arrival of 6G Pokémon from the Kalos region
- New quests to explore with Professor Willow in order to discover these new Pokémon
- Pokémon coming from Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unys, and Kalos will also be highlighted
- A world event will take place at the end of the Festive Season
The different seasons on Pokémon GO
With the change of seasons on Pokémon GO, the appearances of some Pokémon will be changed. The goal of the seasons is to maintain a wide variety in the game, even outside of special events.
A season on Pokémon GO will last about three months and will allow you to find Pokémon related to the theme of the season, but also to the climate in which you will be.

For example, if you are in thenorthern hemisphere in winter, you can more easily meet Otaria, Lokhlass and Teddiursa.
Conversely, if you are in thesouthern hemisphere at the same time (in summer therefore), you will surely meet Dynavolt, Darumarond or even Cheniti.
The Pokémon present in the nature, in the eggs and in Raids will therefore not be the same in summer as in winter!
In addition, some Pokémon, such as Vivaldaim, will change in appearance according to the seasons.
