The tax reform wants to push Walloons towards lighter and less polluting cars… here are the cars of our politicians

If we look at the registration figures for the first five months of the year communicated by Fébiac, we see that the best sales in Wallonia concern rather modest models.

The Citroën C3 comes first, followed by the Dacia Sandero, the Dacia Duster, the Toyota Yaris, the Peugeot 208 and the Opel Corso. We are far from German premiums.

Incidentally, note that the registration tax will increase for the C3, while the change will be minimal for the Sandero, the Yaris and the 208.

From 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds

And our Walloon ministers, what are they rolling in? The company car of Minister Philippe Henry, in charge of the reform, is a Tesla X 100D. According to the American manufacturer, the Model X has a theoretical range of 536 km for an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 or seconds. There is also a 560 km version for an acceleration of 3.9 seconds. Peak power is 1,020 hp for the 536 km version. The weight is 2,268 or 2,358 kg depending on the model. The examples communicated by the Henry firm do not address the Model X. On the other hand, they mention the fact that other Tesla models will go from 61.5 € of TMC today to almost 500 € with the new tax grid .
