The tune of Asala’s new song is not stolen… and this is proof!

The Syrian artist, Asala Nasri, was subjected to many harsh comments, and the audience launched an attack on the composer of her new Kurdish song, accusing him of stealing the melody.

Followers considered that Asala fell into an embarrassing situation shortly after the release of the song “Az Kafukom”, which is classified within the Kurdish heritage, after the audience accused her of theft, while it was not theft, but rather the revival of a Kurdish heritage song.

She did not deny the originality of this matter, as she attached her aforementioned song, which she presented on her official YouTube channel, with a note in which she stated that the preparation of the words and melody was for Ari Jean without indicating that he was the composer of the song, but rather its creator, that is, who revived it in his own way, and that it She belongs to the Kurdish heritage.

However, the followers were quick to criticize the composer Ari Jean, considering that he attributed the melody to him when in fact it is a heritage song, accusing him of stealing the melody, and this is not accurate.

The audience recalled the old song, which dates back to the sixties of the last century, with a black and white video clip, in which the late Kurdish artist, Muhammad Aref Al-Jazrawi, appeared, singing the Kurdish song “Kafoufcom”.

The song was distinguished by mixing Arabic words with Kurdish words, to the rhythm of melodies from the Kurdish heritage. And the beginning of Asala’s song says: “Let us sing tonight, let us rejoice tonight, let us say tonight, for sadness has no outlet.”

In the attached video, you will listen to a portion of the song, and find it in full on its official YouTube channel.
