The Wall is now available worldwide – Samsung Newsroom Belgium

The Wall provides an unprecedented visual experience on a vast digital surface

Samsung today launched the 2021 model of its revolutionary modular display The Wall (model name: IWA) worldwide. With new artificial intelligence processing technology, an improved 120Hz refresh rate, and versatile installation options, The Wall’s 2021 edition opens up a whole new world of possibilities for viewing content.

“Samsung is dedicated to creating the most innovative displays for those at the forefront of video creation and brand experiences,” underlines Evert Van Camp, Display Director of Samsung Benelux. “The 2021 edition of The Wall is the most immersive and versatile screen we’ve created to date. It allows businesses to have full control to create their dream environments. “

A new Micro AI processor instantly analyzes and optimizes every frame of video to deliver the best possible picture quality. Using up to 16 different neural network models, each trained in AI-upscaling and deep-learning technology, the Micro AI processor can optimize image quality up to 8K resolution, by improving contrast and removing noise.

The Wall’s Black Seal technology creates a perfectly even screen, creating a flawless screen for purer, deeper black levels, delivering unparalleled contrast and pristine detail. With a maximum brightness of 1600 nits, The Wall delivers crisp images that stand out even in bright surroundings. Ultra Chroma technology produces narrower wavelengths that create twice as pure RGB colors[1] and more precise than conventional LEDs. Each LED is now up to 40% smaller[2], which increases the pure black space between pixels for better color uniformity and sharper contrast.

This year’s model is easier to install thanks to new wireless connections and a frameless design, which cuts the depth of the case in half.[3]. Using modular technology, The Wall’s 2021 edition can be installed in a variety of positions, including concave, convex, ceiling, suspended, inclined and L-type. need to make only one adjustment per box thanks to the Factory Seam Adjustment, which eliminates the adjustment module by module and saves time.

The 2021 model displays the most detailed image yet with the industry’s first 8K resolution, with a 120Hz refresh rate and simple 8K readout. The Wall can be configured horizontally for up to 16K resolution with a 15,360 x 2,160 pixel layout[4]. Its massive screen measures over 1000 inches, creating a completely expansive panel for showcasing content.

The Wall is equipped with Micro HDR and Micro Motion functions, with 20-bit processing to deliver consistent image quality, suitable for commercial environments, ensuring a smooth viewing experience anywhere. The display also features four Picture-by-Picture (4-PBP) displays, allowing four different content sources to be displayed, all simultaneously in 4K resolution. The 4-PBP function can be used for business purposes when a multi-screen environment is required.

All of The Wall’s features are designed with safety in mind. The TÜV Rheinland (Rhineland Technical Inspection Association) has awarded it Eye Comfort certification for minimum blue light emission, while its EMC Class B certification guarantees that electromagnetic waves are minimal and compatible with safe installation in homes.
