The worst type of breakfast ever.. Exacerbation of infections

Inflammation is linked to weight, diet and exercise, and there are certain foods we can avoid to help reduce the chances of developing chronic inflammation in the long term.

Harvard Health has ranked some of the worst types of breakfast and breakfast habits associated with inflammation, and this includes some foods that may not be dispensed with for their pleasure, but we should be careful and reduce them.

Cakes and baked goods

Amy Goodson, author of The Sports Nutrition Playbook, advises avoiding foods with added sugar and refined carbohydrates.

He explained that it is one of the worst breakfast habits associated with inflammation, such as pastries, cakes, and baked goods.

Lauren Munker, a registered dietitian, says sugary and refined pastries like cake can be loaded with ingredients that contribute to inflammation, so it’s best to stick with whole-grain options without ingredients.

sweetened juices

In addition, enjoying sugar-sweetened beverages in the morning, such as juices with added sugar, may cause inflammation or other unwanted health problems.

Some research has suggested that excessive sugar intake may encourage the growth of inflammatory gut bacteria that can increase the risk of obesity and inflammatory bowel disease.

sweetened coffee

In parallel, your morning cup of coffee may still lead to some unwanted inflammation.

Health experts say coffee can be a healthy addition to your breakfast plate, but adding spoonfuls of sugar isn’t the best option when trying to control chronic inflammation.

Fast food

In the same vein, foods made with a lot of trans fats are one of the causes of inflammation, and may have negative effects on cholesterol and heart health.

For example, fried fast food, baked goods made with margarine and some non-dairy coffee creamers that contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.

Sausages and processed meat

In addition, dietitian Lauren Manker warns against eating some processed breakfast meats regularly, such as sausage or bacon. He explained that they are linked to the development of chronic inflammation, advising to avoid eating them in abundance.
