The Undersecretary for Crime Prevention, Katherine Martorell, reported that will advance the curfew time for all the communes of Greater Concepción, due to the increase in coronavirus infections.

As of Saturday, November 21, the curfew time for the area will be 20:00 to 05:00 hours.

The measure will be applied to the communes of Tomé, Chiguayante, Hualqui, Penco, Concepción, San Pedro de la Paz, Coronel, Lota, Talcahuano and Hualpén.

In the last 24 hours, the Bío Bío added 299 new coronavirus infections, becoming the second region with the most accumulated cases (33,740) after the Metropolitan.

According to Martell, with the advance of the curfew it is hoped to prevent the communes fromgo back to quarantine.
