Landscapers had a very big surprise when they discovered a Mercedes car buried in the garden of a house in Atherton, California.
According to the American newspaper “The Washington Post”, this car had been stolen in 1992 and was wanted by the authorities.
Alerted by the landscapers, the owners of the house called the police and started a major operation to determine the causes of this astonishing discovery.
After a few days of searching, police who initially believed they had found human remains say nothing unusual was found at the scene.
The owner of the car is said to have died.
