This Sunday, December 4, the program Capital is broadcast on M6. The central theme of the evening: the kitchen, and a complete overview of its equipment. Among the reports broadcast, one of them focused on the comparison between bread machines and Thermomix. This trend did not please many Internet users.

We remember, containment created many home bakers who baked their own bread at home. But what about today the sale of these bread machines that allow you to make bread at home? What is the difference between a Thermomix and a bread machine? Lidl ? What does machine-made bread look like? So many questions answered by the Capital of this Sunday, December 4, broadcast on M6. Centered around the kitchen, this show takes us into a world that is often expensive, exciting but also full of gadgets.

The consumer survey begins at Patricia’s. A fan of food processors, she swears by her bread machine. According to her, it’s a real money saver since she has to use her car to go to the bakery and gasoline is getting more and more expensive. Bread, cakes, pastries: she makes all kinds of recipes, at least three times a week, and does not hesitate to share her delights with her neighbours. We then discover the different kinds of machines, ranging from hard discount to high-end. That of Lidl defies all price competition: 50 euros only! But is she up to it? Its results may have disappointed some consumers, prompting the brand to try to improve its products.

Internet users unconvinced

On Twitter, many are stepping up to watch the report and are very critical of these kitchen robots, categorized as gadgets. If the price of thermomix, at more than 1300 euros, quickly cooled Internet users, they are not necessarily more attracted by its version accessible to all budgets at the price of 50 euros. Indeed, the results of the bread made with this machine from Lidl may have disappointed some consumers. That’s not all: they consider that with all these expenses, they might as well make artisan bakers work close to home.
