With the success that God of War Ragnarök met, you necessarily know him. Eric Williams, its director, recently revealed that he dreamed of collaborating with Konami on a famous license.

He dreams of taking over this 1986 license

It’s on the microphone of the Kinda Funny Games Spoilercast show, dedicated to the new opus of God of Warwhich the director said “I don’t know what I’m going to do next, but if someone gave me the license Castlevania, [les studios Santa Monica] would love to do it”. He calls his community “to make it happen” and adds that he “just got in trouble” for saying that.

But the studios have admitted to working, at the moment, on a lot of projects at the same time. We therefore doubt that this desire will materialize, even if we hope so! It is certain that the fans of Castlevania would be delighted that the license is taken over by this famous director.

The return of Castlevania?

The media VGC announced some time ago that Konami studios should revive three cult series including the action-adventure horror license, Castlevania. The game, inspired by the famous Dracula by Bram Stoker, has not seen a new opus since Lords of Shadow 2 in 2014 and fans are getting impatient. This new episode was to be a reboot of the series, developed with external studios. But unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed. We are still waiting to see the famous license come back…

Fans can console themselves, in the meantime, by (re)discovering the adaptation of the game available on Netflix. This animated series, comprising four seasons, is considered one of the best adaptations of video games.
