What is special about this VAE? First of all, it is foldable and therefore plays the practicality card. The idea: to be able to transport it easily and anywhere with you, especially in the trunk of a car or for intermodal. Unfortunately, its weight of 17.4 kg makes it a relatively heavy machine despite its compact size. For public transport, this is not ideal.
Torque sensor on the menu
Under its air of Fiido in more refined and more modern, the WOWCAT C1 nevertheless benefits from a carbon frame supposed to pull the weight down. There is also talk of 20-inch wheels and a 250 W motor placed on the rear wheel hub. On the transmission side, you have to rely on a Shimano Tourney 7-speed system.
The good news lies in the presence of a torque sensor. As we like to remember, this type of sensor offers dynamic, natural and responsive behavior on the bike. Why ? Because the electric assistance is transmitted proportionally to the force you put into the pedals.
More than 100 km of autonomy on paper
The battery claims a capacity of 360 Wh for a theoretical range of 120 km. On paper, it makes you want. In practice, to see if the WOWCAT C1 manages to keep its promise. The data sheet is finally completed with a 3.5-inch TFT screen, front and rear mechanical disc brakes and IP54 certification.
On Indiegogo, the WOWCAT C1 benefits from significant discounts for its launch: less than 1000 euros instead of the 2846 claimed. But the price will gradually increase as we get closer to deliveries.
