The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) established a special VAT regimea rate of 8%for sales of new or used productson platforms of electronic commerce. It reaches those who are not responsible registered and when the amount of operations is equal to or greater than $200,000.

The measure was informed – days ago – through the General Resolution 5319/2023 published in the Official Gazette and was adopted by the collecting entity within the framework of “new evasion modalities” which made it necessary for the organism to “perform Modifications to the regime in order to intensify controls on operations carried out through portals or web applications”.

The tax will reach portals such as Agrofy, Almundo.com, Cabify, Mercado Libre, Take off, Order NowRenew your Dressing Room, YPF Sociedad Anónima, among others.

The measure will begin apply from April 1 of 2023.
