this is the new function of WhatsApp to self-send messages and files

It will not be necessary to register the number itself as a new contact.

After announcing that the company is developing an improved version of multi-device, WhatsApp is currently working on a feature requested by many: a tool that allows the user to use a chat as a message repositorybut without the need to register your number as a new contact.

Undoubtedly, one of the features missing from WhatsApp is the ability to send messages to yourself from a linked device.

In fact, many users got into the habit of sending messages to themselves by opening the chat with their own phone number, for example, to save a reminder, ideas or just the grocery list.

However, the lack of a tool in the messenger that serves as a kind of virtual note is close to reaching the messaging service. As revealed by the specialized site WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will take one of the most useful features of its rival Telegramwhich until now and surprisingly has not been integrated into the platform.

How will the auto-send of messages in WhatsApp work?

WABetainfothe specialized site that closely follows and filters the news that the app of Metarevealed that apparently they have taken note of the need of their users by including in a future update the function for auto-sending messages, the same one that Telegram labeled as “Saved Messages”.

As seen in the recently leaked screenshot, when a user searches for contacts in the beta version of WhatsApp Desktop, you will be able to message yourself by tapping your personal chat in the future. Keep in mind that this chat will also appear when you try to log in to WhatsApp from another mobile device.

With this new function, the user will be able to have that chat accessible at all times, and send messages quickly to consult them later. It may sound silly, but I personally find it to be one of the best features added in recent years, and it’s about time.

WhatsApp also plans to introduce the same feature in WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS when it becomes possible to use a secondary phone as a paired device.

This is one of the features missing from the current multi-device version, and more will be supported in the future: the feature to clear or delete chats on linked devices if the primary device is an iPhone, the ability to view live location on linked devices and the option to create and view broadcast lists on linked devices, according to WABetainfo.

So far, the messaging platform has not given official information about the arrival of this feature on mobile devices. In most of the opportunities, these novelties are first activated for the beta testingthose who applied to the testing program before being distributed worldwide for Android or iOS devices.

On the other hand, WhatsApp would be in full development of an improvement that will enable the user to report errors of the app in a future update. Once active, the so-called “Bug Report”, as the name suggests, can be used to report the status of the service by adding a description and optional screenshots.

The implementation of this new communication channel between the user and Meta leaves some doubts in this regard, mainly the difference between reporting an error within this section and through the “Contact Us” option. A priori, to think that a report sent from this section has a different priority, but we will have to wait until it is active to confirm it.
