Charente is one of the six new departments in red vigilance with a tiger mosquito, like our neighbors in Vienne and Deux-Sèvres. The tiger mosquito which can carry chikungunya, dengue, zika, malaria, continues its rapid “colonization” of the whole territory with a southern half of France almost completely concerned: it is now present and active in 57 departments.

Vigilance-mosquitos stresses the need to inform the population and encourage them to participate in citizen vigilance by reporting any presence of tiger mosquitoes but also any unusual proliferation of mosquitoes on www.vigilance-moustiques.com
